Location. The Athens Gate Hotel is located in Athens, Greece, directly opposite the Majestic Temple of Olympian Zeus, 500 metres from the Acropolis, and six kilometres from beaches. It is 150 metres from the Acropolis metro station.
Hotel Features. A modern building situated in the historic district of Athens, The Athens Gate Hotel has views over the ancient city. Multilingual staff can arrange room service, currency exchange, and express check-in and check-out. Other amenities include wireless Internet access (surcharge), and on site parking (surcharge).

The Athens Gate roof garden restaurant has spectacular views of Athens and serves an à la carte menu and complimentary buffet breakfast. The Athens Gate Restaurant serves Greek specialities and international dishes, and drinks, snacks and sweets can be enjoyed in the hotel's lobby bar.

Business travellers are catered for with conference rooms and computer rental.

A children's playground, running path, mini-zoo and duckpond can be found at the National Gardens, which are 300 metres from the hotel.

Getting there. The suburban rail line connects the airport to Athens' central station, Larissis Station. Single tickets cost 8 EUR. Additionally, Metro line 3 runs between the city centre and the airport, which connects with the Acropolis metro station 150 metres from the hotel. The airport express bus terminates at Syntagma Square, close to the hotel. Taxis can be found in front of arrivals, Door 4, and cost about 25 EUR to the city centre and 30 EUR to the hotel. The hotel can also arrange airport transport, with surcharge. Prices are all subject to change. Getting around. Public transport throughout Athens is inexpensive and convenient. Services include buses, trams, trolley buses, and a metro service. Tickets should be validated at the orange machines on board or in metro stations. Taxis are also available and are reasonably priced. Visitors are advised not to drive in the city.
